Sebastian SURF:

Sebastian Inlet in a well known surf break.  For 40 years, locals and many soon to be professional surfers surfed the break known as First Peak.

First Peak disappeared around 2003 when North Jetty was renovated after storm damage. Now after 16 years, some in the community are trying to raise awareness about an economical project that could bring back First Peak to its former glory days. Glory days, minus all the localism and fist fights we hope.  There is another famous wave still alive at Sebastian Inlet known as Monster Hole.  Unlike First peak, it is on the South side of the inlet and 1/3 mile out in the ocean.  It can take 20 minutes and a lot of courage to paddle out.  The paddling doesn’t stop there.  For Monster Hole to break, the swell has to be large and the current is strong.  EZride Surf School provides Advanced Surf Coaching at Monster Hole.

Sebastian TURF:

Sebastian Inlet State Park Campground: On the South side of the Inlet on the Indian River side of the island. Its not beach camping, but as close  as it gets.  Best on cooler months due to the lack of shade.
